Structure analyses of new synthetic compounds, natural products and biomolecules bycutting-edge analytical instruments
The Research Facility for Instrumental Analysis (RFIA) have responsibility for theoperation and management of the instruments ? nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)spectrometer, mass spectrometer (MS), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and opticalrotatory dispersion - circular dichroism (ORD-CD) spectrometer ? essential toeducation and study.
Structure analyses of new synthetic organic compounds, natural products andbiomolecules such as proteins are performed using the cutting-edge analyticalinstruments. The precise structural information of the compounds can lead toelucidation of the reaction mechanism and the development of new synthesismethod, and we get functional information of the compounds in vivo.
We conduct measurement guidance and training of analytical instruments, technicalsupport of analysis and measurement, student experiment and request analysis oncampus.
The application of quantum beam to the drug discovery
On the other hand we focus on the following research.
- Synchrotron radiation
- Crystal structure analysis by submicron size crystal
- Powder crystal structure analysis
- Neutron scattering
- Single crystal structure analysis
- Powder crystal structure analysis
- Muon
- Visualization of electron and proton transfer process in an enzyme reaction by μSR
