Encourage the intellectual curiosity
Research is conducted for the developmental methods for students who master NaturalSciences effectively. The key is keeping on having the intellectual curiosity and growing itfor their expertise. Our research encourages to support pharmaceutical education.
1. Shift the passive learning to the active learning.
Recently it is pointed out that thinking ability of university students decline. On theother hand, the role of pharmacist moves to the offer of pharmacotherapeutics to patientsfrom dispensing medicine. Accordingly, educational method is needed to be changedfrom passive lecture to active learning such as SGD and PBL. In team-based learning(TBL), which is also active learning, students are divided into small groups and solveproblems through discussion. We try to apply TBL to remedial courses.
2. Introduce the novel method to encourage the intellectual curiosity.
Circumstances around the student have been changing. The most apparent exampleis Information Technology. We are trying to create the novel method by mixing newtechnologies, such as Information Technology, to existing education systems.
3. Conduct of research for the development of the educational methods.
One of the goals of our project is to give the students the ability to find the problemsand solve them. Conduct of research offer the hints. We expect educational effectsthrough conduct of research in the field of staff’s specialization such as immune disorder, dementia, infection disease, cancer and material sciences.
