Promoting Mutual Cooperation Between St. Marianna University School of Medicine and Showa Pharmaceutical University
On July 1, 2003, Showa Pharmaceutical University (SPU) entered into an “Agreement on Teaching and Research Exchanges” with the St. Marianna University School of Medicine. St. Marianna University School of Medicine is affiliated with four attached or related hospitals in Kanagawa Prefecture, and its university hospital, which has 27 departments, is equipped with systems that can provide advanced state-of-the-art medical care and is an accredited advanced treatment hospital that plays a core role in community-based health care.
This agreement is intended to realize further improvements to education and research at both universities by enabling St. Marianna University School of Medicine and SPU to partner with each other in taking mutual advantage of the unique characteristics of their respective specialties. In addition to Hospital-Based Practical Training, we have obtained cooperation from both parties with regard to study tours, practical guidance, and educational facilities for SPU students’ pharmaceutical health care and sciences education, and are working to promote mutual cooperation through joint research, symposia, and the like.
